Our many repeat guests attest to happy stays:
“My wife and I discovered Nautica Tigh more than six years ago. We have returned many times at various times of year. It is always sparkling clean, comfortable and quiet. Situated back from the street, easy to find and very accessible; one of our favourites. We particularly enjoy our private morning breakfasts.”
– Sharon & Garry, from Victoria, BC
“Comfortable & welcoming: En route to Bamfield, BC for three days of kayaking and camping, my party of four stopped over for a night at At Nautica Tigh. The room was exactly what we needed. My boyfriend and I slept in the extremely comfortable queen sized bed and our friends used the twin trundle. They chose to keep the mattresses separate, but Karen told us we could lower the trundle part to make one big bed if we wanted to. There was also a sitting area with a couch and table and chairs for hanging out. The area was quiet and we slept fabulously.
Instead of a sit-down breakfast, there was a mini-fridge and table with breakfast items and dining ware. There was fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese-sticks, bread, jam, English muffins, cereal, tea and coffee. We had been concerned about eating breakfast because we were leaving early in the morning and were delighted that the food was already in our room.
Karen was also a delight. We spent almost thirty minutes chatting with her when we arrived. She directed us toward a great restaurant for dinner and made us feel quite welcome. The price was also great for our young adult budget.
I would absolutely stay here again.”

“Quaint: We booked the Secret Garden room and it had everything we wished for. The bed was really comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and we had our own little private patio and daily self-serve breakfast. The location is great, a short walking distance from the beach. You can see the ocean in between the trees. Although on the highway, it is VERY quiet and peaceful. Lots of green space around. All in all a beautiful place. We didn’t get to interact that much with Karen as we were out and about all the time, but I’m sure if we would have needed anything, she would have been there for us.”
– Aurelie, from Calgary, Alberta
“Wonderful place with a lot of privacy: We wanted to return last year, unfortunately, it was already fully booked – and I am not surprised.
Our host was helpful, friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed talking to Karen and she also had a lot of useful advice on what to see in the area. Our room was rustic and quaint and we could actually see the ocean from our window. What we appreciated a lot was privacy that this place gives you – each room has a separate entrance and a kitchenette with fridge that is stocked with all you may wish to eat for breakfast. We actually enjoyed eating by ourselves in our room at a lovely little wooden table. The bathroom had more than we expected – fresh towels, soaps, even hair products. The room was quiet and we slept really well there. It’s a perfect place for anybody who wants to enjoy Vancouver Island and their privacy as well. We’ll try to come back in the future – hopefully this time there will be a room available! :)”
– Ania, from Krakow, Poland
“Room with a VIEW: The top deck room is spacious with sleeping, sitting, minikitchen, and own bathroom. The view can be hypnotizing, see picture. Just a stones throw away from a nice sunset spotting area. Shops etc nearby. Location is next to ongoing traffic but well insulated. Host is very friendly.”
– Sandra, from The Netherlands
“I had a wonderful week’s stay at Nautica Tigh in Feb. It is within walking distance from the beach as well as downtown Qualicum. I found the accommodation extremely comfortable and cozy and the self-serve breakfast very generous. Karen, the super friendly hostess, just made me feel so welcome and was very helpful with local information. It’s my B&B of choice in the Qualicum/Parksville area.”
– Marja, from Campbell River, BC
“I have stayed at Nautica Tigh twice. I have enjoyed my stay immensely each time because of the comfort of the bed and room, the tidiness and the little but important details that make a bed and breakfast extra special. Karen is an excellent hostess and truly wants to make your stay pleasant. I love the Zen like garden with glimpses of ocean through the trees. Very peaceful.”
– Anne, from Victoria, BC
“We had a very pleasant 3-Day stay at Nautica Tigh Bed and Breakfast. We originally planned to stay only 2 days, but the hospitality, comfort, and privacy were exceptional, and we added an additional day to our stay. We will be back!”
– Linda Skogstad, from Washington, USA
“I truly enjoyed my stay at At Nautica Tigh. The location was perfect in that it was both near the ocean and the town centre. Karen was a wonderful hostess and very hospitable. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the price was affordable. Thanks again Karen.”
– Andreas, from Langley, BC
