Our name “At Nautica Tigh” means “Home near the ocean”. We are close to town and even closer to the beach.

Private keypad exterior entrances allow you to come and go as you please. Each of our rooms has a mini kitchenette allowing for self-catered meals. We are a short stroll away from the lovely Judge’s Row Beach, the Oceanside Promenade, the Memorial Golf Course, the 70-acre Milner Gardens & Woodlands, the Visitor Info Centre, and the 50 acre Heritage Forest trails. Qualicum Beach town centre is only a 3-minute drive.

The Upper Deck is the largest room. It has stairs leading to a private entrance and a small deck. Bedding includes a comfy Queen-sized bed and two single beds. Sleeps up to three people. See photo gallery.

The Secret Garden Room

“Comfortable & welcoming: En route to Bamfield, BC for three days of kayaking and camping, my party of four stopped over for a night at At Nautica Tigh. The room was exactly what we needed. My boyfriend and I slept in the extremely comfortable queen sized bed and our friends used the twin trundle. They chose to keep the mattresses separate, but Karen told us we could lower the trundle part to make one big bed if we wanted to. There was also a sitting area with a couch and table and chairs for hanging out. The area was quiet and we slept fabulously.

Karen was also a delight. We spent almost thirty minutes chatting with her when we arrived. She directed us toward a great restaurant for dinner and made us feel quite welcome. The price was also great for our young adult budget.

“Quaint: We booked the Secret Garden room and it had everything we wished for. The bed was really comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, and we had our own little private patio. The location is great, a short walking distance from the beach. You can see the ocean in between the trees. Although on the highway, it is VERY quiet and peaceful. Lots of green space around. All in all a beautiful place. We didn’t get to interact that much with Karen as we were out and about all the time, but I’m sure if we would have needed anything, she would have been there for us.”

“Wonderful place with a lot of privacy: We wanted to return last year, unfortunately, it was already fully booked – and I am not surprised. 
Our host was helpful, friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed talking to Karen and she also had a lot of useful advice on what to see in the area. Our room was rustic and quaint and we could actually see the ocean from our window. What we appreciated a lot was privacy that this place gives you – each room has a separate entrance and a kitchenette with fridge. We actually enjoyed eating by ourselves in our room at a lovely little wooden table. The bathroom had more than we expected – fresh towels, soaps, even hair products. The room was quiet and we slept really well there. It’s a perfect place for anybody who wants to enjoy Vancouver Island and their privacy as well. We’ll try to come back in the future – hopefully this time there will be a room available! :)”

“Room with a VIEW: The top deck room is spacious with sleeping, sitting, minikitchen, and own bathroom. The view can be hypnotizing, see picture. Just a stones throw away from a nice sunset spotting area. Shops etc nearby. Location is next to ongoing traffic but well insulated. Host is very friendly.”
